I really love those vintage looking pieces, so I looked on Etsy to search for a charm necklace. Many of them are beautiful, but most are out of my price range or doesn’t have both a key and a type of locket I want, so I decided to make it myself. I purchased the raw materials from a couple of sellers on Etsy, and they arrived almost at the same time.

Putting the necklace together is a breeze. As long as you have a couple of pliers and some patience, you can put one together in under 10 minutes.

I’m allergic to nickel, so I made sure the material I bought are nickel-free. The chain is 2ft long, made out of brass and doesn’t cause me any allergies (yippee!) The key is actually copper, and it’s a real key. I can use it to access Jee’s mom’s house. *LOL*

The locket opens up to store a picture, and I haven’t found a nice one yet. Not bad for a DIY, eh? :)
